Lend A Hand Services was started in 2008 on the idea that it is important for those who can to help those in need.

Paul Nerswick

Director, Lend A Hand Services

For over 19 years Mr. Nerswick has been assisting persons with chronic mental illness.  His experience includes consulting with the Ohio Department of Mental Health on the Ohio Emerging Best Practices Recovery Model, Cluster Planning with Synthesis, Inc. which is designated as a Center of Excellence in the State of Ohio, consulting with the Cuyahoga Mental Health Board, the Santa Cruz (California) Mental Health Board, and providing services in the United Kingdom.  He has written the Cultural Competency Standards for the State of Missouri, Department of Mental Health.  He currently operates a multi-unit transitional housing program for persons with chronic mental health illnesses and addictions, as well as provides Medicare services for persons with developmental disabilities. His expertise and knowledge has made it possible for many people with a range of disabilities to reach new goals, while simultaneously engaging in society.
